Nsclc and emerging biomarkers: predictive role in personalized medicine

The characterization of her2 mutations in patients with non-small cell lung cancer is emerging as a predictive biomarker of response to next-generation targeted therapies. given the simultaneous assessment of this marker alongside all other essential biomarkers for patients with nsclc (egfr,kras, braf, alk, ros1, ret, met, ntrk and pd-l1), a multidisciplinary discussion is warranted to further explore optimal diagnostic strategies and how to integrate different biological matrices (tissue and liquid biopsy), ensuring that all patients receive appropriate testing.
